Super restaurant on a small scale - great atmosphere

The food is always excellent, as is "Mrs. Olivia" a gifted cook and entertainer. With charm, humor and depth she brings her guests to laugh and pause. A gem in Baden-Baden.

Olivia is a great cook and perfect host. Having lunch there felt like sitting in someone's dining room. Cozy and relaxing. Can't wait to go back!

A visit to the olive house is always a surprise, a palate pampering program and a free workout of the abs through extreme laughter. In addition, you get to know very nice people here, can fully enjoy a very nice break from everyday life. Nice that there are still such oases!

You do not see it immediately from the outside but what is expected there is extraordinary! Wonderful traditional dishes - we have roulade, Sauerbraten, salmon, fish soup u.v. m. enjoy delicious, simply delicious and all in an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. We felt at home today and look forward to the next time! Olivia alone is already worth the trip to Baden-Baden!

We happened to get there and are still raving about. Awesome, you notice immediately, that is cooked properly. Top prices, somewhere else you would easily put half more on it. And the ambience and the aura of the owner ..... it fits everything. You can eat in the restaurant very nice and super relaxed without schicki micki but we are very nice and relaxed with friends.

Ingenious kitchen, fantastic cook. Tip. But be careful if you: a) are vegetarian, b) live on half portions and c) belong to the water and wine choir fraction. Then you can come here too, but fun is something else. In short: a shop for connoisseurs and gourmets. People who like to go out for good food and bad jokes.

Probably the most cozy and delicious breakfast in Baden-Baden. Even the daily specials are pure enjoyment and the hostess is simply cordial and unique.

Well, actually I just wanted to eat a snack with my dad. We passed an inconspicuous passage and my dad went inside. Inside there was a small restaurant with finely set tables. I myself would not have noticed this place, it seemed so inconspicuous to me at first. At one table sat two ladies, a man "bustled" somewhere, otherwise everything was empty. On the door was something of "reservation required." Thoughtfully I was already on the way to the next restaurant. The man meant to enter, which we spontaneously did. Thomas - that was the name of the man - offered us to be his guests, the ladies also agreed. Perfect. We got a brief introduction to the evening and then fireworks started. Silent and fine, brilliant and gallant. What we experienced there can not really be put into words. Maybe so much: Thomas Diepold does not just cook, he conjures words, stories and food. Can one actually speak of "food"? That sounds so profane. Thomas conjures up the treasures of nature. Every cheese you eat has a history, every carrot a fantastic past. Every wine is a family. Anyone who gets the opportunity to eat should do so. It is something lasting, an experience that should be done as long as possible. Thank you very much, dear Thomas. And many thanks to the two ladies, who also gave us their hospitality.

Very high quality food, tasty menu, privat run restaurant

Here you can expect a fine home cooking and wonderful conversations, because you and the small guest room are almost always together with other people at the table and if the boss has time, you will be wonderful stories to their guests, the philosophy is reminiscent of the novel "the Café on the edge of the world ". Good cosy place with home made food. It is a bit hidden for a reason. The host is really making food for her friends there. Very few tables so be sure to arrive promptly

Non-daily experience. Real homemade food. Light , and tasty, all incrediences from the market or the area! Lovely place With a soul.

Such a random, and wonderful find. The restaurant is split between two chefs, Thomas Diepold at night, and Olivia by day. While I can't speak for the afternoon service, Thomas' menu was superb. My husband and I randomly stumbled in, and were greeted to a warm and genuinely engaging host. We felt like we were visiting a friend -- excellent food, wine, and conversation were plentiful, and seemed to get better as the night rolled on. Food wise, everything was fresh, flavorful, and unique to the region, and Thomas was fluent on the provenance of each ingredient. In all, he reminded me of why traveling is so joyous -- an opportunity to feel welcome in a place not your own, with local things to inspire the soul towards the next journey. We'll be back again

The best restaurant in Baden-Baden. Something hidden in the city center. Fantastic food with more than fair prices. Very lovingly decorated with a humorous boss

The space is shared by different chefs for lunch and dinner. Dinner is run by Thomas Diepold and is called “Best of Baden.” It is truly a tremendous experience as he drives thousands of kilometers to source the most wonderful and delicious local food that you can’t find in any other way. It was a one of a kind experience. Recommended with 10 out of 5 stars.

The best kept secret spot in Baden baden restaurant scene. Make sure to google "The Best from Baden" and book specifically when the chef owner is in. The ingredients are hand picked by the chef who is also the owner daily and the quality is beyond top noch! Highly recommend this place. One of the last remaining soulfuly creatively curated restaurants of its time. Make sure to call and book. Social media is not always right and it's open more days during the summer. Really worth a visit when in baden baden. It will blow your senses!
